I have found the cure to the Monday Morning Blues, and it is this Napa Valley wedding. With a bride so easy going and beautiful, it was destined to be a knockout event, but when she hired Suzy Berberian Weddings & Events to plan it, Fleurs de France to shower the day with flowers, and Jennifer Kloss Photography to capture every moment, it turned into a heart-fluttering, can’t catch my breath, stunning soiree.
From the Bride
In the early days of getting to know Matt he captured my heart with his charm, his sincerity and his love of life. And so, when he asked me to be his wife, I could not have been happier to say yes. Despite the hours I spent planning and day dreaming about our wedding, nothing could have prepared me for the sheer joy, excitement and profound love I felt as I married the love of my life.
Our wedding was not what I would have considered a typical affair but neither was our relationship so it suited. From our flat in London, we chose Napa, without ever visiting, because the idea of a relaxed, beautiful atmosphere with bright blue skies, warm sunshine and an abundence of red wine really resonated with us. And Auberge du Soleil was perfect! It was intimate, warm and elegant.
We hosted 50 of our nearest and dearest for a three day wedding celebration including a relaxing pizza party and a not-too-early brunch. We really wanted our guests, who had travelled from all corners of the world, to enjoy their time, get to know one another and of course, spend time with us!
But hands down my most favorite moment was marrying Matt. Walking down the aisle and seeing his handsome smile took my breath away and I literally could not contain my excitement throughout the ceremony. I simply could not wait to say “I do”. But before we said our vows, our officiant read aloud stories that Matt and I had written for one another. Initially I was hesitant to include such a personal element however they were fantastic – they were so full of love, our personalities and so much humor! This bride did not cry during her wedding but she certainly did laugh!
Then there were our vows, words we said to commit ourselves to one another. And we were married! Ahhh bliss!
Our wedding was a perfect day. I adored every moment of it and would not have changed one element. From food to flowers, ambiance to music it was absolutely what I had hoped for.
